We work with Charities and organisations in the Public and Private Sectors across the UK. We offer:<ul><li>Competitive rates of pay</li><li>Excellent training opportunities including an induction course, ongoing one on one support and training sessions</li><li>Flexible working - set your own hours</li><li>Pre-booked video remote and face-to-face interpreting opportunities – you choose which suits you best.</li><li>Dedicated members of staff to support you with any queries.</li></ul> Assignments include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Commercial/Business</li><li>Asylum and Refugee Services</li><li>Modern Day Slavery</li><li>Local Authorities / Social Services</li><li>Social Housing / Social Security</li><li>Legal</li><li>Medical</li><li>Employment / Education</li></ul> Role Description <ul><li>To undertake face to face interpreting assignments</li><li>To undertake video interpreting assignments (RSLI only)</li><li>To deliver high quality BSL&lt;&gt;English, Deaf Relay interpreting services to all clients</li></ul> What we expect from our linguists<ul><li>Provide professional language interpreting services</li><li>Adhere to our strict Code of Conduct</li><li>Provide an accurate, confidential and impartial interpreting service</li><li>Ensure the highest level of quality by following all interpreting guidelines</li><li>Deliver outstanding customer service</li><li>Possess excellent communication and organisational skills</li><li>Be punctual, reliable, confident, enthusiastic and professional</li><li>Remain impartial and unbiased, to exhibit courtesy towards the clients and service users</li><li>Display deep understanding of the culture of both languages</li><li>Maintain a professional demeanour throughout the interpreting assignment</li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li>Level 6 or equivalent interpreting qualification</li><li>MA BSL/English Interpreting and Translating.</li><li>NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in BSL/English Interpreting and Translating.</li><li>Post Graduate Diploma or NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in BSL/English Interpreting and Translating.</li><li>Level 6 or honours degree level or equivalent in BSL</li><li>Level 3 Lipspeaker</li></ul> Memberships <ul><li>NRCPD UK</li><li>RBSLI UK</li><li>SRLPDC: Scottish Register</li><li>RISLI: Irish Register</li><li>Other (Please specify)</li></ul> You must be also able to provide:<ul><li>Evidence that you are eligible to work in the UK</li><li>Provide a valid DBS certificate (or be willing to apply for one)</li><li>2 Professional References</li></ul> Our contact details:Tel: 0800 520 0380Email: <a href="mailto:interpreters&#64;clearvoice.org.uk" rel="nofollow">interpreters&#64;clearvoice.org.uk</a>
