Clear Voice is recruiting freelance Face-to-Face Somali Interpreters in Kidderminster to work on a self-employed contract to support vulnerable people and organisations across the UK. You will deliver accurate, confidential and impartial communication in a range of settings.

The role
As an interpreter, you will facilitate effective two-way communication between people who do not share a common language. You must convey meaning accurately while maintaining confidentiality, impartiality and professional boundaries.

Requirements
Experience | Qualifications | Memberships
You should have at least 100 hours’ or two years’ interpreting experience or meet one or more of the following criteria or hold an equivalent qualification:
· Community Interpreting Level 3 Certificate
· Community Interpreting Level 6 Certificate
· Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI – Law or Health)
· Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI) or Metropolitan Police Test
· Other Interpreting or translation qualification
· Degree or postgraduate qualification in languages, translation, interpreting, philology, linguistics or a related field
· Membership of NRPSI, CIOL, ITI, APCI or another relevant professional body
· Hold PAIT status under Police Approved Interpreter/Translator Scheme
· Evidence of English-language proficiency, where required
You must be able to provide:
· Evidence of your right to work in the UK
· A valid Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to apply for one
· Two professional references
